For people learning Scratch

Say the game you want. Sidekick teaches it one block at a time: it lights the block up in the palette and floats a ghost of it to where it goes, and you drag it in. It explains at your reading level and quizzes you when you want.

Build

For making games

Describe it and Sidekick plans it, writes the scripts, finds free art and sound, playtests what it made and tidies the code. Watch it work: the editor follows it, scripts appear as they are written, and anything it reads glows.

How it works

Sidekick is a Chrome extension. It opens in the side panel next to scratch.mit.edu and TurboWarp.
It thinks with Claude, an AI model by Anthropic, through your own Anthropic API key. You pay Anthropic for what you use, and Sidekick shows the cost as you go.
Your key, projects and conversations stay in your browser. There is no Sidekick account and no Sidekick server. Privacy policy
Every change it makes can be undone from the panel, and a parent lock and spending cap are built in.
